Installation and settings

Install or update

Upload plg_system_articirraadmintoolkit-2.0.16.zip through System → Install → Extensions. Open System → Manage → Plugins → System - Articirra Admin Toolkit. Install over an existing version; do not uninstall it first. Save and reload after choosing settings.

Articirra Admin Toolkit has its own plugin identity. Installing it on a site with Sticky Admin active disables Sticky Admin and enables Toolkit’s sticky master switch. Sticky Admin’s saved settings and files remain installed. Existing Toolkit appearance settings and individual sticky switches are retained.

Appearance

Choose Follow Joomla, Light or Dark in Overview. Enable Apply colours and fonts to use a custom look. Appearance settings offers ten looks and controls for main colours, dashboard cards and fonts. Palette to customise chooses the palette being edited; Administrator colour mode selects the actual display.

The colour picker remains open during adjustments. Set applies the draft colour; Cancel or Escape keeps the previous value. Joomla Save persists the changes.

Sticky elements

New installations start with Enable sticky elements on. Installation automatically hands positioning over from an active Sticky Admin plugin. Use the master in Overview and the individual Sticky elements switches for the header, sidebar menu, action toolbar and article/module tabs.

My Tools

Open the My Tools settings tab, search and tick shortcuts, then Save. Choose up to 30. My Tools appears first above Home Dashboard. The selection is shared across the site; each administrator only sees permitted links. Admin Toolkit is automatically the first item for users who can edit plugin settings. Your selected tools follow it, and Safe settings appears last for recovery. The built-in links do not count towards your 30 selected shortcuts.

Recovery and compatibility

Safe settings opens the same Toolkit settings page using Joomla’s normal appearance and behaviour. Custom colours, forced light/dark mode, sticky positioning and My Tools are temporarily bypassed. Saved settings are unchanged. Use this recovery link if a custom setting makes the administrator difficult to read or use. Disabling the plugin restores native Joomla behaviour and removes My Tools.

Designed for Joomla 5 and 6 using Atum. Joomla 7 remains planned; overrides are skipped for unverified series and other administrator templates.
