What it does

Articirra Cache Rules lets you build multiple cache-clearing rules with independent settings. You can target specific groups or clear all discovered groups in selected cache locations, and trigger those rules from common Joomla actions.

Features

Choose specific groups from a searchable list, or clear all groups discovered in the selected cache locations. Both site and administrator locations are supported, including frontend module caches stored under the administrator cache directory. Features include multiple configurable rules with independent enabled states, built-in triggers, selected-group and dynamically discovered all-group modes, site or administrator or both cache locations, optional administrator confirmations and success logging, failure logging, and advanced custom event names with optional exact context filters.

Scope

Works through Joomla’s cache API. Browser, CDN, hosting and private extension caches outside that API are not purged. All-group clearing requires a cache backend capable of enumerating groups. Custom event support depends on the extension dispatching that event.

  1. Download the ZIPSave the installer without extracting it.
  2. Install in JoomlaOpen System → Install → Extensions and upload the ZIP.
  3. Review your settingsOpen System → Manage → Plugins, find Articirra Cache Rules, then configure and save.

Requires Joomla 5 or 6. Joomla 5 requires PHP 8.1 or later; Joomla 6 requires PHP 8.3 or later. Install updates over the existing version to preserve settings.
